On the page, James is drawn to careful prose, layered voices, and the textures of everyday life under pressure. He writes short fiction, longer projects, and hybrid work that moves between narrative and essay.
As Editor & Critic
As an editor and critic, James works closely with writers to strengthen line-level choices, deepen structure, and sharpen argument. He is particularly interested in projects that cross genres or resist easy categorisation.
